I'm sorry, but I don't understand this statement. Do you mean clicking the
shortcuts won't open the Office programs? If so, what happens if you browse
to the Office install folder and double click the exe file?

When you do a repair, there should be an option to recreate the shortcuts.
You may need to choose this option.

How did you try to reinstall from disk? To do so, open Add/Remove Programs
in Control Panel. Select the Office installation and click the Change
button. From there, one of the available options should be Reinstall. You'll
need the disks to do this.

Sorry. This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, a
Microsoft database program. It appears your question may not be related to
these subjects.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. I suggest a Microsoft Office newsgroup.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
programs you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.

Joe,

Access is part of Office; but, you're right, microsoft.public.office.setup
would probably be a better group.

Only Office Professional. In any case, it is not an Access specific
question.
