Office 97/Word

I have experience a recent problem with my Office 97 Word Processor. An
error message appears when I try to access Format and the window for fonts
will not respond it is frozen with a single letter (i.e., T). This happened
several days ago when I was working with Microsoft Works and setting up a
data base for addressing envelopes.

The error message that Doctor Watson lists is the following:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Win word.exe c0000005
Winword!FDeactivaterul(30026FIF).

I have tried to remove my Office 97 but I receive a prompt telling me:

16 Bit Windows Subsystem "The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS &Microsoft Windows applications. Chose 'close to terminate' or
ignore. When ignore is clicked it returns to the Remove/Add Programs
window.

I have recently install Windows Upgrade Service Pack 2, plus the other
following software programs:

1. Spanish Deluxe (education self-help program).
2. Lavasoft Spyware.
3. Adware (AVG anti-virus)
4. Adobe Reader 6

I have tried removing these programs and then checked to see if the problem
was resolvedm, no success.

Thank you to anyone who can help me with my problem.

Sorry. This is the Microsoft Access Database newsgroup. It appears
your question is not related to that database. You are much more likely to
find someone with the answer if you post your question to a newsgroup
devoted to your subject.

I suggest finding an Office or Word newsgroup.
