I am desperately trying to upgrade my current version of Office 2000 to
Office 2003. Being computer illiterate, I am under the impression that I can
do this automatically??? Can anyone please point me in the right direction
to do this. I thought I had tried everything, OBVIOUSLY NOT!!, lol I do own
the Office 2000 version and am using Windows XP Home Edition that was on my
computer when I bought it from HP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You can, more or less automatically, obtain any available updates to Office
2000 (though it is out of support at this point), but there is nothing
automatic about an upgrade. For that you have to purchase the retail
product, which may still be possible even though Office 2007 is the current
version.

Do you have Office 2000 installed? Have you bought the Office 2003
installation disc? If so put the 2003 CD in the drive and follow the
on-screen prompts to upgrade your installation.
