Office 2000 - wont uniunstall

Hi,
I ve recently updated from 0ffice 2000 to XP office.
When I open outlook, the installer tries to install the old office 2000 and
promts to insert the Office 2000 Premium disc (which I dont have), I have to
cancel this installer twice, then outlook opens ok. Its anoying having to do
this. Also,
In ad/remove programs the office 2000 installer cant be removed, it promts
to insert disc which I dont have so the uninstalling process gets canceled
and cant be removed.
Can anyone please help me in removing the old application.

Great !!!!!, I found this link in a previous post with a simular problem,
installed Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, ran it and has fixed the
installer problem.
