Office 2000 Error

Chris Southall

Does anybody know how to fix this ?
TS on Win2K SP4, XP clients. Office 2000 installed using transform.mst
from the ORK, but whenever an Office app is launched within a TS session
we get the error "Error 70 in DSRWord.IDTextensibility2_OnConnection
Permission denied (source = IbsOsMSOfficeIndexer)". Clicking Ignore the
error goes away and the app launches. Appears to be a rights issue,
but to what ?

Thanks,

Chris.

As wit all permission problems, I would download FileMon and
RegMon from http://www.sysinternals.com/. Run them as
administrator, start a TS session as a normal user and try to run
the application.

FileMon and RegMon will show you all "access denied" errors
that occur, so that you can give your users the necessary
permissions on a file-to file or Registry subkey basis.
