Offer Remote Assistance Error

Hi,

When I start the Offer Remote Assistance I can enter the other computer name
and it displays the user that is logged on. Then when I start the Remote
Assistance the starting remote assistanc box starts, but right after that I
get "Cannot connect the the other computer, Please try again." with an Ok.

I am on a domain. No firewall is active. Is there a way to reinstall just
the remote assitance?

Thanks,
Roger

there is nothing wrong with remote assistance just you are not getting
connected to that person's pc. you can even invite the person with messenger
or save the invitation in a file and then mail the file to person u want to
assist u. After recieving the file that person can initiate the remote
assistance session

Hi Harry,

I am trying to take control of the other PC by offering remote assistance.
Because I can see the user name of the person logged in I should be able to
run the remote assistance. I can do this logged into another PC on the
domain and I am in the administrators group of each of the PC's. Is there
some registry setting or group policy that may be set on one PC that could be
stopping me from doing this?
