OE6 receives some e-mails then freezes

I use WinXP SP2 with a 735 MHZ processor and 368 MB RAM and my copy of
Outlook Express 6 can send all my e-mails, but receives only some of my
e-mails but then just freezes. The animation of the receiving arrow still
moves but it's like the connection goes dead.

I use AVG 7.5 for anti virus but I have the AVG e-mail scanner disabled.
Outlook Express will act the same way whether the AVG e-mail scanner is
active or disabled.

If anyone knows how I can fix this problem, thanks in advance.

You might want to check on the mail server via the web interface your ISP
probably has. You might need to check with them for exactly how to do that.

Once there, look for large or otherwise unwanted mail and delete it or deal
with it there. Overly large or corrupt mail items can cause this sort of
behaviour, so if you can clear the inbox on the server this way, you may
find that the problem goes away.
