OCR again

Are there any freeware applications which work with XP?
The PrestoPageManager that came with my scanner don't like XP.
I have managed to find a Twain driver that lets me scan pictures and
haven't plucked up the courage to try installing Textbridge Pro 98 yet.

You could try SimpleOCR which works not too bad for me.

This is 1 case where I can not recommend a Freeware product. The only one I
know of is "Simple OCR", and it is very rough and inaccurate. On the other
hand, TextBridge is a very nice and light OCR program, and is simple to
install and use. Go for it!

====================================

I haven't found any free OCR programs that work properly. I also
haven't found any non-free that work properly (I haven't tried any
that are very expensive).

If you decide to buy one, don't download it unless you can change
your mind. Otherwise, you may be very unhappy with the results.
