Two freeware requests
1. Anagram solver
2. 'Word finder' that works so that by putting in e.g. w?re would give
you a choice of ware + were + wire + wore (I would, of course, use it
for less obvious and longer solutions)

As Scrabble fans we often use online word finders. Try
http://www.crossword-dictionary.com/anagram.asp

At the bottom is a link to the crossword dictionary which allows to to
search for words using wildcards as spaces. Hope this is of help.

Perhaps because I have it set up to download with Star Download - it
just sat there looking at me with an empty download box.
Do you use a Download Manager?

I used Star Downloader but downloads from ftp sites didn't work very
well so I disabled it in both IE and FireFox. I used the internal
FireFox download manager to download it so most likely SD is the
problem.

Just switched to Download Express (with downloadwith extension, of
course) - problem solved )

Yup. Me too, but saved URL for later download with GetRight. Next day
OK. Try again, and better luck.
