Objective comparison between Remote Desktop Connection and pcAnywhere

Can anyone provide me with an objective comparison between Microsoft's
Remote Desktop Connection and Symantec's pcAnywhere 11 ?

A short list of +'s and -'s for each would be helpful.

I know one thing--I never had a problem accessing my office computer from home using
pc anywhere. I have tried for weeks now to use remote access thru windows messanger and
always get the following message "remote host name could not be established. please try again."
and again and again ....

Remote Assistance is the feature which uses Messenger. This requires an
interactive user at both ends--is this really what you are trying to do?
