Object picker

When trying to add to any group on windows2000 server
running citrix metaframe 1.8 I get the following
"Object picker cannot open because no locations from which
to choose objects could be found".
This system was rebuilt and put into local domain. It was
then put into local workgroup. This problem happens in
either domain or workgroup. Administrators group shows
sids only and cannot resolve names. Only way to add to
groups is to user usrmgr (nt4 version) which works.
Any help would be appreciated

Hello Peter,

This sounds like it could be a DNS issue,

Point this member server to a Domain Controller in the domain that is
hosting these groups for primary DNS. If this is a across a domain trust you
may want to create a secondary look up zone on the

There may be tother name resoltuion type issues causing this, you may be
recieving errors somewhere that say no domain controller for this domain
could be found..

When Object Picker cannot see the trusted domain
you normally cannot even ping the other domain by its name.
Object Picker relies on API's that rely on the resolution of the domain
name. If
this is somehow broken in the configuration, it would not work.

This could also be due to network adaptor bindings:
