object picker error

Hi,

I a getting error "An error occured attempting to create
the object picker" while i try to add user to add a user
to group ( in Local Users and Groups option) on windows
2000 server. i can't even see the group list. can anybody
please explain me what this error means and how to solve
it.

If this is a non domain machine, I really do not know the answer and an upgrade
install may be needed. For domain member computers, this is usually related to a dns
misconfiguration or failure of the secure channel to a domain controller. Running
netdiag on the machine may show what the problem is, usually with dns, domain
membership, or dclist. Netdiag is on the install cd in the support/tools folder where
setup will need to be run. Also look in Event Viewer for any pertinent error messages
and the link below may be helpful. --- Steve
