Hello Paul,

All good information!

I have gone into Add/Remove to see
if I could find any of the programs
and they're not there. I've also gone
into Users>downloads and Programs it
wasn't there either.

I have the freeware version of SuperAntiSpyware
and they do show up and this time I
tried to uninstall them and was successful.
I ran it a second time and they were
gone although I did get (58) Adware
Tracking Cookies and I guess I can't
do much about that.

I also ran a full system scan with
malwarebytes and it didn't detect
anything either before or after the
SuperAntiSpyware scans.

I would like to remove the Bing
toolbar so I will check out your
last link to do so. I hate it when
you download a program and get
unwanted programs like Google Chrome
and all this other junk with it and
then have to spend time trying to
remove it.

Thanks again for all your good help
and links, I appreciate it very much.
If I have other questions I'll start
another post.

Thanks again,
Robert

Bing Toolbar is a BHO (browser helper object) for
Internet Explorer. At one time, Microsoft supported
Firefox, but apparently not any more.

In any case, there are some steps here to
disable it, or uninstall it.

A second article, covers the Bing Search Provider.
Search providers can be added to a browser, if
the browser has some sort of dialog box for
doing searches. If you really hate seeing the
word Bing, maybe this article will remove the
last bits of it.

Note that, when IE version updates come in,
cumulative updates for IE are installed, it's
always possible the sneaky monkeys will put
some of that stuff back. Don't forget to bookmark
the articles for later, in case a year from now,
you need to repeat the removal process :-)

And Google would do as much to you, given the chance...
It's all about advertising money.

Paul
