I don't have an Nvidia graphics card on my XP Home computer. Startup is
using this file. Do I need to keep it if I don't have the Nvidia graphics
card. I'm running an ATI 9600 Pro.

You can safely delete it; that file is for the nvidia nview control panel.
Check in your Add/Remove software section in the control panel and remove
any existing nVidia drivers and software from there.
 
That's like asking if Intel's CPU's use AMD's parts.
They don't.

ATI and NVidia are competitors.
 
Well he probably isn't familiar enough with ATi to know that they make their
own chips, and since there are so many other companies like Hercules, ASUS
etc that use different chips I guess he assumed ATi might also.
