numbers pad on keyboard?

I had to reformat my harddrive and then reinstalled everything - I have a
Microsoft 101/102 keyboard Natural Microsoft PS/2 - everything works - just
can't get the numpad to work - I've tried pressing down the numlock
...nothing - can anyone figure out this aggravation for me?

If the Num Lock light doesn't come when you pres the button then I would
think you need a new keyboard. You should be able to get one for £5.00 -
£10.00 so it's not a great outlay.
