Number of e-mails in a file

My desktop used to tell me how many e-mails were in my inbox, sent mail,etc.,
but now that display is gone. Anyone know how to find this and re-acvtivate
it ?

Ask in a group specific to the mail software you're using.

I did, i thought, ask in the Windows 2000 group, which is the sofyware I am
using.

What mail software are you using? If Outlook then
