I just replaced my Motherboard with the same board that came with my pc,
sent to me by my PC Co.,
Now when I try to put XP Home on my Raptor HD it say's (can't install
windows, NTLDR is missing.)
I tryed and Brand new XP Home cd and the OEM CD that came with the system,
The same thing happens.
Is there any thing I can do to get my O/S to install on my SATA Raptor HD
Alll the drives i have are working on the XP Home version I left on one of
my IDE drives, After I did a Repair on the install,,, after i changed the
MB.
Thanks for any Ideas

If yr saying yr trying to install on a sata drive you need to have sata
drivers on floppy and use the F6 option during the XP install, to 'install
third part drivers'

I did change the bio's to cd-rom for 1st boot, And I used the Floppy for
the Drivers after i do all that it ask's if you want to install windows I
select "Enter" to install thats when it say NTLDR is missing. All the
drives are formated to NTFS so it isn't that either, anything else you
guys can think of?

I don't know about your specific motherboard but most I have run accross do
not require the SATA Raid drivers be installed when XP is being setup on a
single SATA HD. The added drivers for the F6 device is a controller not a
single drive.

I would suggest trying to install XP on your SATA drive without using the F6
option. Also in your CMOS if you have an option to activate or de-activate
the SATA Raid/Boot Rom make sure it is inactive.

Good Luck,
Len
