NTLDR is missing

Hi
This is what I see at boot up
Verifying DMI pool data......
Boot from CD :

NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl +Alt+ del to restart

restart always returns to this message

This happened before and micro center simple reimaged my hard drive and i
lost all my data so i would like to try another solution this time. I do not
have a vista start disk since the recovery information is sectioned on my
hard drive.

Do you have CD(s) in the drive(s)? If so, remove them all and try again.

Along with the other answers make sure you DON'T have a floppy disk in your
drive.

I did remove a CD from the drive but I still get the same message at start
up which is

I there a way to instruct machine to not boot off of CD?

Cold boot. go into the OS. Might be F8 or F10. Go to the Drive setup. Make sure
it's set to BOOT from your C: drive. Exit and save.
it should auto reboot, and the ntldr problem is gone.
