When I log on each time, I am receiving a message "cannot install pc-cillin"
the system is attempting to install pc-cillin on the "d" drive. the folder
names seems to be "ntdll.dll" and guq1.exe. Can someone please tell me how
to eliminate this attempt?

Thank you

Google Search returns nothing for guq1.exe. Suggest that you update your
anti virus software and run a full system scan.

Wes,

I think I need to add additional information to my original question. The
initial message that I receive is windows is preparing to install SV1.exe
encountered problem and needed to close. Then I am given the option to send
error rpt. However the attempt to send error rept fails and you get the
message PC-cillin 2000. "the feature you are trying to use is on a ntwk
resource that is unavailable. Click ok to try again or enter an alternate
path to a folder containing the installation pckg PNT2k.Msl. Use feature
from "D\0135301.tmo\". Also the it shows Error 1706. No valid source could
be found for product PC-cillin 2000.

I hope this helps you to assess the problem.

Thanks

Error 1706 means nothing by itself. You need to have the Event ID & the
Event Source.

See what it says in Event Viewer.

To open the Event Viewer...
Start | Run | Type: eventvwr | OK

Double click the event in Event Viewer | Click: the button below the second
arrow (looks like two pages) [[Copies the details of the event to the
Clipboard.]] | Paste into Notepad | Click:
