NTBackup to CD/RW post2

I'd like to use NTBackup to backup data to a CD/RW disk.

I realize that I would first need to format the CD/RW disk. Then schedule
NTBackup to create the backup file daily ( I know how to do this), but I'd
like NTBackup to rename the file each time, preferably with a name that
represents the date. This way I have a series of daily backups all listed by
date created on the CD/RW.

There must be a script to allow one to do this.

(I cannot afford an alternate software package, ((writer/ actor)) so no
alternate suggestions please)

I don't quite understand. When NT Backup is used the date
is appended every time. Therefore you may have the same
file name but the date\time attribute is different. My NT
Backup automatically adds the date\time. Keep smiling.

I just went into the NT Backup to be sure about my reply
as your post is most confusing. Using the advanced mode
and then the scheduling the "append to media" has a dot in
it and then if you look at the lines at the top and bottom
both have dates and times in them. Could you be more
specific. Be aware that NT Backup does not have disk
spanning capabilities so you must keep the total size of
your backups to around 620MB. If on the other hand you are
just backing up a daily file or folder then the date is
part of the backup title. Keep smiling.
