NT (Pro) to W2000 Pro w/o NT?

I have NT 4.0 Pro and the W2000 Pro Upgrade. I've had a need to install W2000 again.
It would be good if I do not have to go through NT first. Is there a way to just show
the W2000 upgrade my NT CD and skip all the NT shuffling?

To do a clean install, either boot the Windows 2000 install CD-Rom or setup
disks. The set of four install disks can be created from your Windows 2000
CD-Rom; change to the \bootdisk directory on the CD-Rom and execute
makeboot.exe (from dos) or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and follow the
prompts.

When you get to the point, delete the existing NTFS and or other partitions
found. After you delete the partition(s) abort the install, then again
restart the pc booting the CD-Rom or setup disks to avoid unexpected drive
letter assignments with your new install.

During Windows 2000 setup, at some point, will want to confirm the previous
operating system for the upgrade; at that point you'll simply insert the
qualified product install CD for it to verify. Then the install will
proceed.

Easiest thing will be to make sure your bios is set to
boot from the CD first, floppy second and hard drive 3rd.
The 2000 CD will boot and start the installation. You at
some stage will be prompted to insert the NT CD into the
CD rom to verify the upgrade and then it will ask to put
the 2000 in again once it is verified. Booting from the CD
also means you will have the option to redo the partitions
and format the drive to NTFS. If you choose to redo the
partitions you will destroy any data on that partition but
will give you a clean install.
