Nt Backup Error

Hi,

Runing 2k server, with a seagate (certance) stt22000
drive and hp tr-5 tapes. If we backup to a file it will
work fine but when we try and do it to the tape the
verify fails and says "Error: The media in the drive must
be erased before it can be used" in the report?
We are running sp4

Any ideas?

Don't verify.

Seriously, verification has never worked properly for anyone I know.
You could see if there are later drivers.

I have never had a problem not verifying.
