Notes Master Layout

I'm trying to add layout notes to the Notes Master. I go to View, Master,
click on Notes Master and then click on Notes Master Layout. all the Place
Holders are dimmed and I cannot change the different Placeholder options. How
do I change this?

If all options are dimmed, all possible placeholders are inserted into the
Notes Master. If you want to delete one or the other of them, just click on
them and press the Del-key. You only need this dialog box, if you want to
re-insert a placeholder. Same for moving and formatting: Do it directly by
marking the placeholders as you would do with every other object on the
slide.
