I had a Trogan virus Dropper, which infected my notepad.exe file. Nortan Antivirus could not fix it, so I had to delete the file
How can I recover this file or down load a copy of note pad?

Notepad.Exe is a protected system file. XP has a built-in
function "System File Checker". Whenever a monitored file
is deleted, renamed,etc. Windows will automatically note
the change and restore the file from DllCache or the original
source. System Event log will show will have an entry about
any automatically restored files.
