Notepad problem

Hi,i ran norton antivirus and it found a virus on my
notepad.exe file.. so i dont have note pad any more, can
any one tell me how can i get notepad.exe ? Or how can i
seperately install notepad only ???

From information by MVP Patti McLeod:

1) See if you have a copy of Notepad.exe in C:\Windows\System32 or
C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\I386 and if so, copy the file to C:\Windows;

2) Expand a copy of notepad.exe to C:\Windows\System32 by doing
the following:

Have the XP install CD in the CDROM drive.
Go to Start>Run and type "cmd" without the quotes, Enter.
In the command prompt window, type:

expand X:\i386\notepad.ex_ c:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe
(where you will replace the X with the actual drive letter designation
for your CDROM drive)
Then press Enter

3)Exit the command prompt window by typing "exit", then press Enter.
