Hello
I had a Trojan Dropper virus a few days ago and went to the Symantec website for help. I was able to delete the virus, and Symantec recommended deleting all programs infected with the virus. I deleted notepad.exe and now am having a few problems with newly installed projects. Where can I reinstall that file from without having to reinstall windows
Thanks for the help!

Go to Start > Run > cmd
type
sfc /scannow

This will need the XP CD. It might also need some files in the
Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and Windows\System32\dllcache folders.
The program will replace damaged or missing system files.

Check in your harddrive, you might have another notepad in these
folders, if so, just copy to the Windows directory.
