Not showing more than 2GB RAM

Ed

hi,

I've just upgraded the physical RAM in my Vista Business install from 2GB to
4GB. The BIOS is showing the 4GB fine but Windows is still only reporting
the 2GB - do I need to do something else to enable this in Vista?

thanks,ed.

Well it should be showing at least 3GB's, it'll never show the 4. How old is
your motherboard etc?

Check the manufacturer's website for a BIOS update concerning this. Various
mobo's have had issues with ram above 2GB. I have such a board.

In the Bios: memory remaping or memory hole or PCI reallocate memory?
