I originally had 4gb of RAM, and just added another 2gb of RAM. Why wont
Vista see the full 4gb of RAM? From other discussions groups, I found that in
order for Vista to see the full 6gb, I need to install Vista 64bit which isnt
a problem. BIOS sees the 6gb of RAM, so I dont think I need a BIOS update.

The 32 bit OS does not have enough "Numbers" to address RAM above 4GB
but some of this "Address Space" is needed by other devices so Vista 32
cannot use the full 4GB and therefore does not display it.

Your BIOS seems able to handle it, the other limiting factor is the
physical structure of the motherboard, however in your case if the
physical ability wasn't there I doubt the BIOS would show it.

If there is a limit it is likely 8 GB

All 32-bit versions of Windows (XP as well as Vista), even though they
have a 4GB address space, can only use *around* 3.1GB of RAM. That's
because some of that space is used by hardware and not
available to the operating system and applications. The amount you can
use varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but is
usually around 3.1GB.

Why do you think you need so much RAM? It depends on what apps you
run, but very few people can make effective use of that much.

It allows me to run almost 5 VMware (Windows 2003 server, XP, Vista) sessions
at the same time, and play my games all at the same time! For me, I need alot
of resources. My next wish is to have a dedicated line to the net.

OK, if you *really* need to run so many operating systems at once.
