Not responding

Please can someone assist. In the last few days, when I open an Internet Explorer session it works fine, when I open a second or additions sessions Explorer freezes. I do an alt+ctrl+delete and I get a not responding message. I close the task and then start again and keep going through the process. What do I do??
 
when's the last time you house cleaned your pc.
chkdisk,defrag, clear temp. stop running programs ya
don't need. and check for scumware.
