IE 6 stops responding

Michael

I'm running Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106. When
I first open IE it works fine, but after four or five
clicks, it just stops responding. I have to close the
window and open another IE session, and it will work again
for a short time, and then stop responding again.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I try to keep up with
the latest hotfixes and service packs; are there any known
issues that I should know about?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure micheal, but have you emptied your temperary
Internet Files recently ?
Set the max file size for about 50 Mb, any more will make
IE very slow
Hope it helps...

I have the same problem. When this happens, I
control/alt/delete and send an error report. The report
always says I need Service Pack 1, which I've never
gotten to install correctly (see my post)
I've had some luck in restoring my computer to an ealier
date, but the problem always seems to reappear within a
month or so (sometimes sooner).

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
