IE 6 Problems

Recently IE has developed a problem where it will suddenly
just stop downloading any data of the net. It usually
occurs about 10-20 minutes after you start a 'surfing'
session. The only way to fix it is to close all IE windows
and then re-open them. Then 10mins later it happens again.
It can't be an ISP connection problem as you don't have to
reconnect, just restart IE. No error messages and IE does
not freeze or 'stop responding'. An extremely frustrating
problem - any help would be good.

I discovered this problem right after downloading an
update a few days ago. There must be a glitch in the
Windows Update software but I have yet to find a solution.

IS this a cross a home network with a broadband router
made by Linksys?

Not across a network, just direct dial-up.
