IE 6 error

Whenever I close a page, I get an error message saying IE has encountered a
problem has to close, it then close all my other open windows as well. This
only started happening a little while ago. I tried restarting my computering.
I've also been trying to download IE 7, but the download doesn't start,
instead I get the same error message and it closes all my other windows. Is
anyone else having this problem?

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

Two things you can try: 1. clean your cahe and history. Go to tools,
internet options, delete, delete files, ok, delete cookies, ok, clear
history, ok. Then close IE and reopen. Also if you have any third party
software you may want to remove it. Certain programs prevent Ie from
working. And if you have the Earthlink toolbar remove that. Let me know if
this helps I hope it does.
