IE6 sp2 crashes

I was having problems 2 weeks ago with my banking websites with statement
downloads. IE gave me the error message: IE has encountered a problem and
needs to close etc...Now everytime I try to go anywhere other than my start
page I get this same error. I also get the error everytime I close out IE.
Netscape is working fine but I am unable to see if there are any fixes at
the IE updates site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may be infested with malware.

If you follow Frank's suggestions re cleaning up any malware/spyware and you
still get this error message, we'll need more info from the error reporting
tool - see this and then repost back to this thread with the additional
info:
