Hi

My IE 6.0 now closes itself. I went into a bank's site, when I tried to log
in, it just the IE just closed. Afterward, I tried google, and everytime I
pressed enter or search, it closes. Any idea why? Would appreciate any
assistance. Thanks.

After that look for poorly coded plug-ins.

(BHODemon is no longer developed but will do the job you want it to do.)

Thanks for the advise.

It seems that the problem also extends to various application. I tried to
use the windows media player, it also does the same thing. I tried to use
"search" (right click on "start" button, and search), but it also closes
itself. Could you give some advise? Thanks a lot.

Scan for malware... Really. A good deep scan, updated definitions, etc...
