I have just got a new computer with Vista installed, switched my Outlook
Express Mail to Windows Mail and for the past 5 days cannot receive any
emails. I use a POP3 server. Norton was on the computer when I got it - I
have uninstalled it but still can't receive emails any suggestions?

What error message do you get? Right-click on it, copy, then
paste it into a reply here.

I don't get an error message - it just says that there are no new messages
but I know that I have been sent emails

Contact your mail provider and have them go through all of the mail settings
with you..

Are you still getting the mail on your old computer? If so, it's probably
deleting it after it downloads.

I just bought a computer with Vista on it and have been having problems in
getting my mail as well. I tried all the tricks that others suggested and
that still didn't work. Finally called for on line help with Mircosoft. They
walked my husband through in re-loading the accounts. We found out that
putting in your POP3 address is very case sensitive. All need to be lower
case. My suggestion is to double check your in put of the POP address. Just a
suggestion. We had done it and so far all seems to be working. I know I spent
a whole day trying to figure out this new program. Learning curve or not. It
is not as forgiving as other programs we all have used in the past.
