Not Functional

My laptop has lost its Modem, I have tried almost
everything i know & the Place i bought it from told me to
download a new driver but the driver seems to be working
but the modem well as i said, it is not functional. I am
hoping that you may be able to help me with my
problem.

What is the actual text of the error message?

Have you looked at the website of the notebook manufacturer?
