not able to ply music

My freind keeps getting this message when he tries to play music,Windows
Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with
your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your
computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be
functioning properly."


i told him to veiw the status of his hardware and software on his computer
and he told me the status of the sound card and video card is null and the
update says null


can someone please please please help me,any help will be apreciated

Your "freind" probably needs to update his soundcard drivers to be
compatible with WindowsXP. Additional info below:
