Not able to format or dismount a drive

Hi
I am not able to format or dismount a volume
There are lot of spywares in my system. I would like to
remove all of them by formatting and reinstalling
Can anyone give ideas.

C:\Documents and Settings\shankar>fsutil volume dismount C:\windows
Error: Access is denied.


C:\Documents and Settings\shankar>format c:
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Enter current volume label for drive C: shankar

WARNING, ALL DATA ON NON-REMOVABLE DISK

Neither are possible while the OS is running. To do a clean install boot the
Windows XP install CD-Rom. When you get to
the point, delete the existing NTFS and or other partitions found. After you
delete the partition(s) abort the install, then again restart the pc booting
the CD-Rom to avoid unexpected drive letter assignments with your new
install.

Be sure to apply SP2 or at least these two below to your new install before
connecting to any network.
