norton

hi to all, i am a newbie to the net and this forum, would like to know how to
get rid of norton antivirus. i have gone through the remove programme bit but
am left with a nasty little security allert box of norton which constantly
pops up. how do i get rid of norton in its entirety, cant seem to locate
where they have hidden this as i have tries getting rid of everything with
symantic on as well. can anyone help???

There is an UNINSTALL Utility Program on their website.
Download and run it.
Norton puts almost as much trash on a computer as AOL.
Making it very hard to uninstall sometimes.

Hello Longman,
Norton doesn't like being ousted and you might have to run system restore to
get rid of it. I thought you might like to know about a free anti-virus
software I was told about by my ISP - it's called AntiVir. You can find it by
doing a google search and download it free. It's been very trouble free and
I've now upgraded to a personal edition which costs a mere £10 for the year.
