Norton Internet Security is currently on after uninstall

After I uninstalled Norton System Works, the FTP, HTTP and HTTPS ports were
blocked by the firewall. I then used the Norton removal utility to completely
uninstall the program, but Security Center, Windows firewall indicates that
"Norton Internet Security is currently on."

How do I get rid of this program?

Thanks,
John

You've tried symantec support to see if there is manual removal
instructions?
ie what reg keys to delete etc

Thanks. I ran CCleaner and RegSeeker, cleaned up a lot, but the problem
persisted. Using RegSeeker I found the registry entry for Symantec and all
its subfolders and deleted the lot. Searched for NAV, NIS and NSW again with
no results. On restart, the problem persists. I'm open to other ideas.
