norton antivirus 2005

I am trying to get rid of nortonand am having a terrible time
it was in the control panel and i removed it and thought it was uninstalled
but when i went to uninstall symantic livereg a message comes up cannot
remove at this time because the following applications require this componet
norton antivirus and now don't know what to do to get rid of norton as it is
not in the control panel list

Head over to Symantec's web site (www.symantec.com) and download the enhance
removal tool.
