Norton System Works / Fast & Sale Cleanup

I use Norton System Works and when I run Norton Clean
Sweep - It does not clean Internet History. Checking with
Symantec support, I get the reply

Situation:
When you click settings in Fast & Sale Cleanup, Internet
History is checked. After running Fast & Sale Cleanup,
Internet History still shows files to be lceans.

Solution:
This problem us usually caused by a corrupted Internet
Explorer index file.

Windows/NT/2000/XP:
Because there is no method for restarting Windows XP to a
DOS command line, this situation is more complex for the
operating system. Without the ability to start in DOS,
the operating system maintains the file in an "open"
state, preventing its deletion. Contact Microsoft
customer support for assistance in removing the Index.dat
file in Windows XP.

I cannot find any infor regarding the above. Can anyone
advise me.

Thanks MaryAnne

Restart Windows and logon as Adminstrator. If you don't know how, post back
with your Windows version.
Once logged on as Administrator you can delete the History folder for your
User.
