Norton problems

i working on a friends computer. im tryng to install norton
pro 2004. i am uaable to install due to the following
reason. there is a "reg undate" program on here computer.
when i attempt to uninstall it threw windows add/remove
programs it says unable to uninstall becaue its needed to
run Clean Sweep. there is no other norton program on here
computer other than the regupdate. any help is appreciated.

Is hard to decipher your intended message. See if the last option applies
in this case. That said, either way, follow the steps.

Clean sweep is a norton product, I would imagine you would
have to remove all previous norton AV security products
before installing the new security package.
if unable to locate norton uninstall, refer to the norton
website, I'm sure they have something to assist you!

Check out Symantec tools such as Rnav, Rnis & SymCln.
They are designed to remove specific products that the
Add/Remove programs cannot completely cleanup.
