Ok Men, My apology to ALL who I pissed off,
I can only speak for myself, and I'm not pissed at all, and while it is
nice of you to apologize, it is unnecessary.
I Myself use Norton Internet Security with Antispyware. Have used
Norton for 5 years now, took a while to understand the whole program
to set it all right so it wasnt always popping up every time I turned
around, But I use My computer for shopping on line ALOT and such and
with it I feel safe. I am not saying it is the best out there nor the
worse, I honestly dont know. I do know that in the 5 yrs I have used
it I have had no virus or anything.I also have Adaware and Spyware
blaster and run them couple times a week. Dont know much about the
other programs but with Norton if under an attack You can go in and
view who the attacker is, it will show You on a map of the world the
country, city, and the internet provider in which the attacker is
comming from, You may then file a complaint with the attackers
internet provider for attacking Your computer. The cost was 79.00 and
I got a 30.00 rebate so that wasnt too bad.
Ok I am now open for attack Guys.
As far as the stick up my ass the only stick I am putting up my ass
today is the seat in whick I will set upon on Our 2005 HELLBOUND
STEEL custom CHOOPER that I am getting ready to go riding upon.
Have a Great Day Guys. GRANNY
Have fun on your run, and while you are relatively happy with Norton,
this group is just too filled with those with Norton/Symantec caused
problems, when it is TOTALLY off-topic to this group. Personally, I
used to use Norton NIS, but once I tried other products I notice how
much of my computer resources was sucked up by Norton, and how much
registry crap is left behind when uninstalled, and how expensive it is
to be on the Norton Upgrade Wagon. No security product is perfect, and
I've seen many machines protected by Symantec security products that
were infected when tested by other non-Symantec products. And I've seen
many unistall nightmares with Symantec products. Just too, too many
problems, so I cannot in good conscience ever recommend the crap.
You may be happy with it, but you don't know how much more you'd be with
other much cheaper products that don't suck up system resources like
they were infinite.
