Norton Internet Security 2007 & Computer Noise

Ever since I installed Norton IS 2007 a few days ago my desk top
computer makes a lot more noise than it used to, more or less like a
constant "grumbling". Anybody know what is going on? Thanks
 
Yes the computer is bitching about having to work with that bloated software.
 
Luis, I'm not the ultimate pro, but it seems like your HD heads are
jumping all over the discs trying to retrieve information that is
scattered.If so your HD won't last long, so fix it soonest. Run a good defrag
program. uninstall Norton. run disc cleanup. then defrag again. then
re-install Norton. This has worked in the past. Good Luck.
 
No software can not make the PCs generate noise normally. However, Norton
Internet Security does cause XP to access the hard drive C more often.
