Windows XP Norton Internet Security 2005 problem

Hey yall, I have this frustrating problem with Norton. Whenever I open Microsoft Word this pops up....

"Norton Antivirus 2005 does not support the repair feature, please unistall and reinstall"

I've googled my problem and it appears this is a common problem, but there's so many instructions out there i wouldn't know which one works. I tried refreshing the layout norton left in my start menu, but no success.

Any help will b greately appericated, thanks in advance!!!

Norton Problem

Yep, unistalled and reinstalled 3 times in total, same problem. Additionally, my friend installed it yesterday, same problem.

is it norton or word? try reinstalling word...

Norton is a target for viruses, try using the one below or the equivalent.
