Norton Ghost vs Save & Restore

I have one computer using Ghost 12.0. On a second computer which doesn't
use Ghost I just installed Norton Internet Security 2008 which came packaged
with Norton Save & Restore 2.0. From what I can determine, the two backup
programs are fairly similar. I'd like more information and links or
recommendations as to which does what best.

No - the two can't coexist. My main computer has Ghost 12.0. The lesser
used computer has Save & Restore 2.0. What little I can find is that SR is
supposed to be easier to use, but lacks several features - the description
of whose utility eludes me. I also noted a lot of user dissatisfaction with
SR 1.0, but can't find any comparable user reviews for 2.0

Personaly , wouldn`t use either .

Ah, okay. You TRIED to install TWO Norton products!

When Abraham Lincoln had suggested to him that he meet a lady named Mary
Todd, Lincoln was said to have remarked: "That's mighty presumptious since
one "d" was sufficient for God."

Point is, and I'm not trying to be an athiest here, ZERO Norton products is
the recommended course.

I wouldn't use either, either. but I have had a lot of success with Acronis
TrueImage.

with the wisdom you've gained from your years of experience:

What WOULD you use, Mr. Expert?

If I could afford it ( being on benefit ) Acronis True Image .
( No expert [ but thank you ] , but I`ve been reading this and other
groups for a few years and have gained knowledge to work on my comp ;
also learning all the time .)

No expert here either. Big follower this newsgroup. But, I keep what works
for me. I use the DriveImage 7.0. Basis of a few versions of Ghost
afterwards...

I wasn't being complimentary. I was sarcastically chiding you for
your "expert" answer that lacked info that could be useful to the OP.

You didn't tell him WHY you wouldn't use either, nor did you offer an
alternative and tell him why THAT product should be chosen.

Your reply to my chiding mentioned a product, but didn't say why you
like it over the other two.
