Norton AV and McAfee installed on same machine

Norton AV was originally installed on a machine at my
home and today someone tried to install McAfee on top of
it without disabling Norton so when she restarted the
machine it hangs.

We have Windows XP. Any suggestions on how to disable one
or the other so I can get the machine back up and running?

You could try to delete one from Start/Settings/Control
Panel/Add-Remove Programs.

Now keep that "someone" away from your computer.

I fixed it. I used the XP system recovery feature and
mcafee wasn't there anymore
