Norton AntiSpam vs Windows Defender

I have been using Defender for around 2 months. Symantec is telling me that
there is a conflict between Defender and Norton AntiSpam and the way it
functions with Outlook 2003. They want me to uninstall Defender. Anyone aware
of a known issue between these programs? (AntiSpam ignores the ALLOWED list)
