Norton anti-virus installation error

I just upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP Home
Edition recently, and I am trying to reinstall Norton
Anti-Virus 2004. However, I keep getting and error
message reading "this MSI must be launched through
setup". What the heck does that mean?
